Reproductive rights, a key part of the package of women’s issues to be highlighted this week, will be discussed throughout the day and during speeches tonight.
“It’s like they believe the solution to unemployment is hidden in our uteruses,” Richards said at the caucus meeting, referring GOP party platform recently revealed in Tampa, which showed a strict no-abortion policy.
The abortion issue is becoming one of the most controversial of the election. Outside the Charlotte Convention Center, where many DNC events are being staged, police were forced to limit access to certain streets to keep anti-abortion protesters and hecklers separated.
