Back to the Future…Trudeau Style

2 May

“At long last the Liberals may be running out of policies to undo.”

The Trudeau Liberals campaigned in 2015 on the premise that Canada, and by extension Canadians, suck(s) and change was all that could save us – and the LPC was just the change we needed.

The litany of promises lies concocted by Gerald Butts and mouthed by Justin Trudeau is long – from balanced budgets to tax cuts – but were effective in fooling enough hip childish voters and bitter single women into choosing Trudeau’s hair over Harper’s substance.

The Harper Derangement Syndrome exhibited by the Liberals and the media lingers well past the election -no amount of reason or logic can dissuade the Liberals from their instinctive compulsion to undo everything the Harper gov’t put in place – it drives them, and their enablers in the media, like meth drives a 2 bit whore – and the outcome will be about as healthy.

Socialized Medicine – Defying Economic Logic

The Odd Economics of Canadian Health Care

Canada’s health care system has become unworkable and uneconomic. Politicians of all stripes use the promise of “free” health care to buy votes. The majority of Canadians will complain about wait times, the lack of available doctors and shortages of drugs, treatments and hospitals. At the same time, many of these people use socialized health care as a way to define their “Canadianism”.

It takes a fair amount of willful ignorance to accept that reducing the supply of anything, in the face of rising demand, results in lower cost — but when it comes to health care, millions of Canadians do.

Justin may not win the leadership, but he’ll get the most “likes”

Only one-third of Liberal supporters registered to vote in leadership so far

The party boasted last week that 294,000 people had signed up over the course of the leadership contest.

Most signed up free of charge, taking advantage of the party’s new supporter class, which was intended to broaden the Liberal base and engage more than just card-carrying, dues-paying members in the leadership vote.

While only a fraction so far have bothered to take the next step, spokeswoman Sarah Bain says the party is pleased with the number who’ve registered.

Still, the failure to register by two-thirds of supporters thus far suggests they have little attachment to the party, likely won’t vote for the next leader during the week of April 6 and may not prove to be particularly useful to the party after that.

Andrew Coyne on the Supreme Court of Canada’s asinine ruling on “free speech”…

It might be interesting to know whether any of this is true — have Jews, for example, the most persistent target of hate speech through the ages, been “silenced”? — but apparently it does not matter: the government is not required to prove its case is true, and the defendant is not saved if his case is. At one point the Court muses that a failure to ban hate speech, in so far as it “silences” the targeted groups, may be “more rather than less damaging to freedom of expression.”

From which we may conclude that any government that relaxed such restrictions would soon find itself condemned by the Court — as a threat to free speech.

No worries though, the bobbies are on it…

A Metropolitan police spokesman said today: “We have also been speaking to local community leaders and influential people, local businesses and the local authority about the issue and what is being done, and can be done, to address it.”

In his decision, Judge Phelan examined a broad sweep of historical evidence that established the Métis and non-status Indians were treated in much the same way full-status Indians were.

“The evidence concerning non-status Indians establishes that such persons were considered within the broad class of ‘Indians,’” he concluded.

Justin Trudeau’s Islamist Revival…

Although organizers pitch the gathering as “A Unique Youth Effort” “to help overcome new challenges of communication and integration” and “reviv[e] the Islamic tradition of education, tolerance and introspection…

That’s one way to characterize Islamic “tradition”…

This year’s conference was initially sponsoredin part by IRFAN-Canada, an international Muslim relief entity that has seen its federal charitable tax status yanked by Ottawa, as a result of the Canada Revenue Agency’s belief that millions in contributions went to “relieve” the Hamas terror organization. Although exposure of this background forced IRFAN’s eleventh-hour cosmetic removal as an RIS sponsor, it is not evident that all remaining sponsors are clear of radical taint. UBS Bank recently blocked the overseas account of British-based charity and RIS 2012 sponsor Islamic Relief, a situation which an Islamic Relief official reportedly attributes to the technicalities of counterterrorism regulations.

The Boy Blunder will share the stage with a cast of Jew, Gay, woman and Christian hating terrorists:

Jamal Badawi: Professor Emeritus, St Mary’s University, Halifax, and held by the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report to be “a leader in many of the most important organizations of the Global and U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.

Imam Zaid Shakir: A U.S. cleric tending to trade in 9/11 conspiracy theories, aiming for Islamic rule of America, and believing that the U.S. government is at war with Islam—a poor example for the Muslim youth at any conference.

Edina Lekovic: Policy director at the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood-linked Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC)

Tariq Ramadan, the charming, soft-spoken and dupe-seducing scion of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood—a man who famously called for a moratorium, rather than a ban, on the stoning of women, and avoids condemning Hamas

Trudeau’s team said the Dec. 22 event will help him reach out to young voters.

Salma Sidiqui, president of the Muslim Canadian Congress, said it was unfortunate Trudeau was reaching out to individuals who “would snuff out liberalism and stifle free speech in the name of Islam.”

“If Mr. Trudeau wishes to reach out to Muslims, he should first learn how to distinguish between ordinary Canadian Muslims [and] Islamists who owe their loyalty to overseas Muslim Brotherhood-influenced organizations.

That would require a level of judgement and common sense, which is a gene that seems to have skipped the Trudeau Family….

But the media still loves them….
